Why most UK charts are quietly wrong
The UK switches between GMT and British Summer Time. A Leicester birth in August was on BST (UTC+1), not GMT — and British birth records almost never say which.
The ascendant moves roughly one degree every four minutes, and a full sign about every two hours. An offset error does not make your reading slightly less accurate — it can put your Lagna, and therefore every house in your chart, in the wrong sign entirely.
