Why most USA charts are quietly wrong
The US spans six time zones and observes Daylight Saving Time. India never has. A birth at 9:30 PM in New Jersey in July happened on EDT (UTC−4), not EST (UTC−5) — and a chart built on the wrong one puts your Lagna in the wrong sign.
The ascendant moves roughly one degree every four minutes, and a full sign about every two hours. An offset error does not make your reading slightly less accurate — it can put your Lagna, and therefore every house in your chart, in the wrong sign entirely.
